I found it tough going after my new knee. Its the lack of flexsion (bending) of the knee that will inhibit your movement so I suggest you work on getting good flexsion first. I also found that improving my general fitness and flexibility really helped as well. Pilates made a huge difference to both. Good luck with the knee op.

Welcome to the club. I'm 16.5 stone and have recently bought a Solo too. I've just replaced the transom flaps with some rigid plastic I cut up. I'd be interested in sail settings for the 'larger chap' too.

Thanks for your reply Chris. I see many Solo YouTubers who mainly keep the traveller in the centre? Some say let it move out in light winds and some not. It’s confusing.

Could I also have a copy of the solution?
