General Questions and Comments

Hi all, I expect like me you don't take much time thinking about keel bands. However I had quite a surprise recently when I turned over my Winder 1 to do some hull polishing. The brass keel bands either side of the centreboard case were looking extremely rough. Closer inspection showed that they were oxidising (if that's what brass does) and quite lumpy. A quick rub down with some sand paper followed by a rub down with Scotbrite pad and they are almost as good as new. Should be worth an extra second or so around the race track -😜
