For anyone planning the Lugano to Menaggio Route.

16th June travel update - Lugano to Menaggio Route - Menaggio Ferry Terminal is closed for repair, did not look like it would be in service anytime soon. Continue on to Griante and the Cadenabbia Terminal approx 2 miles. Immediately beyond the terminal is a holding area for which the left lane is for Varenna. This is because the boarding parking area has limited space. The onboarding flow is also from this direction i.e. you turn around to face back to Menaggio.

Double stackers and/or tall vehicles will not be able to enter this area due to 2m height restriction. Thus you’ll have to park up in the road somewhere. There is no physical height restriction on the ferry. There are ferry officials organising the system, suggest speaking to them and buying your ticket asap to get in the queue, tickets acquired from the ticket office.
