Tiller plans for 1972 Solo

Hello Friends, Solo 1416 just come into my family. She has been well looked after, and we're working on tidying her up for the summer. At present she has a homemade tiller, straight, functional, but lacking the graceful, curved lines of some that I have seen. I'm wondering if you are able to point me in the direction of plans for something beautiful?

Thanks!

A suitable shape is actually pretty simple to define. It has to fit in the tiller or be a wishbone that fits outside (mine is a slide in slots wishbone type) which then curves upwards and curves back down going inboard to be pretty horizontal. A simple bit of 6mm MDF clamped to a rudder stock can be cut (bandsaw/jigsaw) to prove and prototype the shape desired. It must not jam on the side deck at full lock but you must be able to get your leg underneath it when sitting back on a run. Your foot should touch the bottom of the tank side opposite for a good sitting position in Forec 6 run/v broad reach wher you feel more 'locked in' tahn if your'e struggling to find somewhere to put your feet.
