Chris and Roger, I've tried to get a hold of this Solo for a while but as soon as you get close to arranging a viewing / collecting he goes off the radar. Its been reported to the Police several times now even with the last know location.
I hope it helps recover the boat . The person selling it obviously doesn’t even know it’s a Solo hence advertising under 370 and no mention of being a Solo. Good luck
Roger this is a good spot as the boat was stolen and remains unrecovered. Reported to the police and to the insurance company. Will contact Apolloduck as I would think they do not want to be advertising stolen goods.
Based on the content of the boat, this is almost certainly Solo 5529, "Nicki", a Winder II with (what was) a Selden D mast. She was stolen from Papercourt SC in early May this year.
I have reported the boat stolen with Surrey Police (crime report SYP-20230617-0557) and if anyone has further information, please provide it to them.
And protect your boats from people like this "Owen Field".
Looks highly suspicious. The trailer is connected to a car in the photo and appears to have been driven with the mast up, hence the bend. The seller does`nt even know that its not called a pole. Trolley and trailer probably worth the asking price. Worth a police crime report.
I have no information about this boat, and it may well be a genuine sale- but with our boats spending 99% of their lives unattended in an open area- its important that we all look out for each other
