After a long break, Oxford Sailing Club are pleased to be able to invite Solo sailors to an Open Meeting once again. It will be part of a joint Open for Lightnings and British Moths which has long been a fixture at the Club.
The Club has in the 80s and 90s hosted the Inlands, Springs as well as being the host for the very first Winter Champs in 198?, a foggy affair as I remember it! As many of you will know Farmoor reservoir is a good size, which we hope will see at least a few visiting Solo sailors taking the opportunity to race on the water for the day. Some practice for the Inlands at Grafham perhaps, which are a couple of weeks down the track on the 5th/6th of September.
Depending how everything goes we hope this Open will become part of a regional Solo Class series next year.
