Sea Series 2023 result goes to the wire

Robert Laurie

After 8 events across the East, South & Western coastal regions, it is great to see that five sailors have already qualified with the required 4 events, and another thirteen could qualify if they participate at the final event at Blackwater SC on the 30 Sept (see results page).

Currently the Series leader is Alex Butler of Hayling Island, but Charlie Nunn of Torpoint Mosquito can still pip him if he travels up to Essex for the last event and finishes better than 10th. Or could Ollie Davenport steal it from under both their noses if he participates and gets a 3rd or better! Either way we shall have a new Champion's name on the trophy this year after Jamie Morgan's excellent domination over the past two seasons.

So as I now bow out as Sea Series Rep, I leave it in better health than it has been for some while, and hopefully someone will volunteer to take this role on at the AGM. Prize giving for the the winner & all those that qualify will be held at the End of Seasons at Draycote 11 November.
