Been trying to get my solo moved onto a new home but only had one person who only tried to scam me.... Has the second hand market gone stail or something?
I'm seeing lots of really nice boats that I've got no hope of affording which have also been up for sale for quite some time.... i don't really want to end up cutting this boat up if i can help it especially as there's nothing wrong with it.
Just about everyone now believes the mantra " buy frp".
At club level inland I can compete ( and beat sometimes) new frp with my old Miles but this is ignored.
Modern coatings, a decent deep side, boom up cover and regular checks means wood is fine and so much cheaper its a great option. The current frp boats are superb but the " issues" many of the earlier boats had
are ignored.
I will step into dodgy areas by suggesting that with " later" wooden boats selling at less than £1500, your boat may welcome a slightly lower price- but respect the spend you must have made on it.
Perhaps some people will read the Winters race result and see a wooden boat in 3rd- ok with superstar helm, but still up there!
best of luck!
