The Solo is not a boat most sailing schools will choose. I would contact your nearest club with a Solo fleet- there will be 2 or 3 keen long standing Solo sailers who may be keen to help and have an older boat for you to learn in. No RYA certificate but very possibly much better Solo training.
Or follow this route after having done six starter lessons at your local school in another single hander. Getting in a Solo after this will be even nicer
